小狐外传 第73期:突然下雨

 "Whoops," said Dexter.

“哎哟，”德克斯特说。

It was Fox's turn to appear. Suddenly it began to rain.

轮到小狐上场了，可天空突然下起雨来。

Fox's beautiful paper costume¹ fell apart in front of everyone.

小狐漂亮的纸质戏服被雨淋透了。

"What do we do now?" said Carmen.

“现在怎么办？”卡门说。

Put the curtain down!

拉下幕布！

Fox called out to Louise.

小狐朝露易丝喊道，

And Louise pulled with all her might.

露易丝使出吃奶的力一拉，

The curtain came down.

幕布掉下来了。

"Who turned out the lights?" cried Carmen.

“谁把灯关了？”卡门叫道。

"Where am I?" said Dexter.

“我在哪儿？”德克斯特说。

"The play was ruined!" cried Fox. "Everything went wrong!"

“毁了！”小狐说，“全毁了！”

The next day Fox heard some folks² talking.

第二天小狐听到有人谈论他们的演出。

"That Fox really knows how to put on a funny show," someone said.

“那个小狐真有排喜剧的天赋，”一个人说。

"Funniest thing I ever saw," said someone else.

“是我看过的最搞笑的喜剧了，”另一个人说。

And Fox began to plan his next show.

小狐计划着他的下一部演出。
