　　U.S. President George Bush says the Democratic-led Congress has failed to address a series of important issues, and he wants action soon. Democrats¹ are pushing their Republican colleagues in Congress to support environmental legislation.

In his weekly radio address, Mr. Bush said Congress has failed to deal with issues including a free-trade agreement with Colombia, confirmation³ of the President's nominees⁴ for 350 federal positions, and funding for U.S. military forces abroad.

Our men and women in uniform are risking their lives every day, and they deserve the resources and flexibility⁶ they need to complete their mission."
