(单词翻译:双击或拖选)
If you find it impossible to get your dog to do this, ("Sit, sit") it might be time to take a good look at the way you are interacting1 with your pet. You could be committing some very common dog-training mistakes.
First the best kind of training for your four-legged friend is to teach him manners, just like you are with your children. That’s the advice of dog coach to the stars and author Tamar Geller.
At first we teach them how to sit instead of jumping when they want something instead of lounging2 and when you’re holding something. Just to sit, be polite.
And Tamar says get the whole family involved.
Everybody must agree on what is acceptable3 and what is not, and work together as a team. That’s one of the best things for a family. It’s as a family to have the experience, the joy of raising a dog.
Another important training tip is to socialize your dog, get them out there, playing with other dogs, meeting strangers, simply introducing him to everyday things.
Condition your dog to hear household noises; don’t shelter your dog, expose them.
Training your dog may sound like a daunting4 task, but Tamar says if you keep it simple, you will be successful.
Start by building the relationship with your dog at home. Second, don’t give food for free, make him work for it. Practice relevance5 training, have dogs sit for everything before you put the leash6 on him, before you open the door, before you give him a toy even. And of course, have fun.
90% of my training is done in games, so instead of giving a dog a toy, tell him to stay and go and hide the toy, so voom, it’s a game.
Remember your pooch is a lot smarter than you may think, dogs can understand up to 150 words, so take advantage of that, and stimulate7 your dog’s brain.
