Patrick Hickey, Europe’s most senior official on the International Olympic Committee, was arrested on suspicion of ticket touting¹. Police said the raid on Mr Hickey’s hotel room in Rio de Janeiro was connected to the arrest on August 5th of Kevin James Mallon, director of THG Sports, a sports-hospitality company accused of illegally reselling tickets.
