But while the amount of money we all spend onFather's Day continues to go up every year, it still trailsfar behind Mother's Day. Dr Lars Perner, a consumerpsychologist at the University of Southern California,says that most of us simply think our mothersdeserve better or bigger presents whereas perhapsdads are also less interested in tangible tokens ofappreciation.
