 Hello Kitty, whose image already appears onpyjamas, pencil cases, and the sides of buses, is tograce the big screen after the brand's owner signedthe feline icon's first film deal. After five years ofdiscussions, Sanrio, the Japanese firm whichmanages the character, has signed a deal with a unitof Warner Bros, New Line Cinema. The film's plot isnot yet decided. "A search for writers and creativetalent will commence immediately," Sanrio said in astatement.
