　　Drive the nail aright, boys, Hit it on the head; 把钉子拿准了，专心敲打它的头部；

　　Strike with all your might, boys,While the iron's red. 当铁烧红时，用你所有的力量打磨。

　　When you've work to do, boys,Do it with a will; 当你有工作要做时，用毅力坚持下去。

　　They who reach the top, boys,First must climb the hill. 要知道，那些达到顶峰的人，首先必须从山脚开始爬起。

　　Standing² at the foot, boys,Gazing at the sky,How can you get up, boys,If you never try? 站在山脚下，只是凝视着天空，如果你从不尝试怎么能站起来呢？

　　Though you stumble often, boys,Never be down-cast; 虽然你经常跌倒，但是不要为此而情绪低落，

　　Try, and try again, boys,You'll succeed at last. 再试一次，孩子最后你会成功的。
