Worldwide banana crops are under threat from a disease known as TR4. It's already devastated² crops in Asia and has been spotted³ in Africa, but Latin America is still hoping to ward⁴ it off. We hear from St Lucia in the Carribean, how growers there fear if the disease does reach them it could devastate¹ livelihoods⁵. We also take a look around Morocco's suprisingly substantial aircraft manufacturing industry. And Bobby, the Tasmanian teddy that's taking China by storm; the Chinese authorities now won't let the lavender-scented cuddly⁶ toys into the country. Why not? We hear from the teddy's maker⁷, Robert Ravens⁸ of the Bridestowe Estate. And we're also joined by our regular commentator⁹ Sean Turnell from Macquarie University, who popped out to the fish market before he joined us and draws lessons from there on the Australian economy.
