Holidaymakers in Europe can look forward to a summer of lower mobile phone roaming charges, after the EU-mandated cuts come into force. It's all part of the European Commission's plan to phase out all roaming charges by the end of the year. Telecoms analyst¹, Matthew Howett, tells us customers will be glad to see the back of the charges which have been a bit of a moneyspinner for the mobile operators in recent years. South Africa's metalworkers have begun an indefinite strike, just days after the country's platinum² miners went back to work. The BBC's Lerato Mbele in Johannesburg gives us the latest and economist³ Dawie Roodt from the Efficient Group tells us how much damage the strike may do to the South African economy. The BBC's Mark Whittaker is on hand to explain a controversy⁴ in Japan, where the country's constitution has been altered to potentially enable it to take offensive military action.
