 The thing is bees are very sensitive to the weather. If the temperature falls below fourteen degrees or if it rains they just won't leave the hive. The nectar of the flowers is also temperature dependent¹. So if it's cold, there will be less nectar and therefore less food. And if the weather is bad when you virgin² queens go on maty flighty can mean poor fertilization and we can call on it which may eventually die hive. Add all these factors together, a bad summer can mean the bees will fail to survive a mild winter. Let learn a harsh³ one. 

 

The number of honey bee hives in England alone fell by about 15% between 1985 and 2005. Different studies indicated declining⁴ total bee numbers of the past 50 to 80 years. So in terms of the weather clearly doesn't explain what's killing⁵ our bees. There has to be other factors. 

 

My colleagues are BBC breakfast thing common bitter of sest. But I want to give my sense of what could happen if we keep losing our bees. It's Monday morning, and the breakfast crew could not sense before dawn. This is our normal breakfast, but not today. Rachel has taken our breakfast.  Today they're going to be offer the menu which only includes food that doesn't need bees to produce it. Right, I hope it so stucking.
