2."go by"
a. As time went by, 表示时光流逝或者经过。
b. "My name is xxx（Chinese name）, and I go by xxx（English name）."
我的名字是...，你也可以叫我...。
My name is Catherine, and I go by Cat.
我叫Catherine，你也可以叫我Cat。

3."appreciate it" ＝ (Thank you very much./Thanks a lot.)
