本月内“习特”第二次通电

 　　China hopes all parties can exercise "restraint" on the DPRK issue, and not take "provocative¹ actions", said Chinese President Xi Jinping during a phone conversation with his US counterpart Donald Trump² on Monday.

　　国家主席习近平于本周一在与美国总统唐纳德·特朗普的通电中表示，中方希望各方就朝鲜问题保持“克制”，不要采取“挑衅行动”。

　　Xi stressed China is strongly against any action that would violate any UN Security Council resolutions. The Chinese president added that only if all parties take their responsibilities and work together can the Korean Peninsula nuclear issue be solved.

　　习近平强调，中方强烈反对违反任何联合国安理会决议的行动。习主席还补充道，只有有关各方都负起该负的责任、相向而行，才能尽快解决朝鲜半岛核问题。

　　The phone conversation came amid rising tensions over Pyongyang’s nuclear and missile programs, with concerns growing over the possibility of a sixth DPRK nuclear test.

　　在平壤核导计划致使紧张局势升级和人们愈发担忧朝鲜可能进行第六次核试验的背景下，两国元首进行了通电。

　　During the phone call, the two presidents also talked about bilateral³ ties, pledging close contact through various means to promptly⁴ exchange views on major issues of common concern.

　　通电期间，两位元首还讨论了双边关系，同意通过各种方式保持密切联系，及时就共同关心的重大问题交换意见。。

　　Xi called for strengthening communication and cooperation between the two countries in fields including trade, military, law enforcement, the Internet and culture.

　　习近平呼吁增强两国在贸易、军事、执法、互联网和文化领域的沟通与合作。

　　Trump has spoken highly of his meeting with Xi at Mar-a-Lago resort earlier this month, saying he is looking forward to meeting with President Xi again. Trump also added that he is looking forward to his visit to China .

　　特朗普高度赞赏了他与习近平于本月在海湖庄园的会晤，称他正在期待与习主席再次会晤。特朗普还补充道，他期待访问中国。

　　This was the second phone call between the two leaders this month. On April 12, Xi and Trump talked about the Korean Peninsula situation, and matters related to Syria.

　　这是两位领导人本月内第二次通电。4月12日，习近平与特朗普就朝鲜半岛局势和叙利亚事物进行了讨论。
