A company, claiming to be an equal opportunities employer（声称是一个平等机会的雇主）, advertised a vacancy （为一个这位空缺登出广告）for someone who could type, use a computer and was bilingual（双语的，会应用两种语言的）.
A dog saw the sign, went inside and began barking（狗吠，狗的叫声为“bark”）, to show he was interested.
The office manager looked at the dog in surprise (惊奇地), but led him into the office to be interviewed（进行面试）. The dog jumped up on to a chair and the manager said "I can't hire （雇佣）you. The sign says you have to be able to type."
The dog went to the typewriter and typed out a perfect letter. The manager was stunned（十分惊讶）, but then told the dog: "The sign also says you have to be good with a computer（必须会熟练使用电脑）."
The dog jumped down（跳下来）again, went to the computer and proceeded to enter and execute a perfect spreadsheet（制出一份完美的电子表格）.
The manager was totally dumb-founded（惊呆的;目瞪口呆的） and said "I realise you're an extraordinary dog, but I still can't give you the job."
The dog jumped down and went over to a copy of the sign and put his paw on the sentence about being an Equal Opportunity Employer（将它的爪子放在关于“平等机会雇主”的那句话上）.
The manager said "Yes, but the sign also says that you have to be bilingual."
The dog looked at the manager calmly and said, "Meow.（猫叫声;喵喵声）"

这个构思奇妙的故事讲述的是一只聪明绝顶的狗如何将一个雇主好好地涮了一通。最搞笑的是最后一个词，“Meow”,因为老板说道，“你必须会讲两种语言。”。这时，只见这只狗镇静地说了一句“猫语（Meow）”, 好像在说，“瞧，这不是吗？”。妙绝！
