希拉里·达芙，2001年因主演迪士尼的电视剧《新成长的烦恼》而人气爆红，2003年基于该电视剧改编的电影《平民天后》，将她带上大银幕。这首"What Are Dreams Made Of"便是《平民天后》的插曲之一。《平民天后》（The Lizzie McGuire Movie）是一部基于迪士尼电视剧《新成长的烦恼》故事情节的喜剧电影，于2003年5月2日由华特迪士尼影片发行。电影从主角利齐（希拉里·达夫饰) 她从初级中学毕业并随班级旅行至罗马的开头开始。该影片的摄制完成于2002年末，上映于2003年5月，虽然在评论界获得的反响褒贬不一，但在当时达到了美国票房第二名。

白日梦：
1. day dream
She stared out of the window,lost in day dreams.

2. waking dream
The whole scene felt like a waking dream or as if I had died and had been born again.

3. Pipe dream
