电影《荒野生存》Into The Wild，说的是主人公为了寻找心中所向往的自由与狂野，踏上荒野生存之路，最后孤独死去的故事，电影不断地流露主人公内心的世界，孤独和厌恶现实世界，并且强调只有在自己的内心世界中才能找到安宁感。

Grunge巨头、老牌摇滚珍珠果酱Pearl Jam主唱Eddie Vedder为这部电影创作了这首歌，也收录在他的第一张个人唱片中，歌很悠扬，就象飘荡在风中的树叶，感觉清净，而Eddie Vedder发自内心深处的苍凉声音，让人思考，让人情感涌现。
