英语新闻视频：UK crowds gather for jubilee pageant

Diamond Jubilee¹ celebrations are in full swing in the UK, as Queen Elizabeth the Second prepares to mark 60 years on the throne. A flotilla of boats has already begun making its way along the River Thames.

　　The 86-year-old queen and the royal family are on board the royal barge², Spirit of Chartwell. Along with them, more than one-thousand boats are sailing down the Thames.

　　Organizers call it the biggest gathering³ on the river for 350 years. Some of the boats took part in the Dunkirk evacuation in 1940. Despite cool, drizzly⁴ weather, hundreds of thousands of people lined the riverbanks between Hammersmith and Tower Bridge in London, watching the event.
