The Washington, D.C. metro¹ train system is usually crowded with tourists during the summer. But in addition to providing quick transportation around the D.C. area, some riders will receive free summer entertainment. MetroPerforms! is a musical program sponsored by the subway system and a local arts commission. It provides local singers, dancers, musicians and other performers with the opportunity to share their talent at metro stations throughout the city. VOA's Barry Unger attended a recent audition². Sean Maroney narrates³.
