The South African President Jacob Zuma has announced the findings of an inquiry1 into the shooting by police of striking workers at the Marikana platinum2 mine. But in the end, the Supreme Court voted 6-3 to throw out the challenge. Hillary Clinton, the frontrunner for the Democratic nomination9, applauded the decision. But the Republican leader of the House of Representatives, John Beohner, said the Obama Care was still a broken law."
Euro Zone finance ministers have ended their talks aimed at solving the Greek debt crisis without agreement. It is expected that they'll reconvene on Saturday for another round of negotiations10 to try and prevent Greece defaulting on its debt. Jean-Claude Juncker, the President of the European Commission, has refused to accept a failure of the talks.
"We haven't yet reached a point of which we could say that we've come to an agreement. But I will work until the last second to make sure that the Europe project does not collapse11. I'm working for a solution compatible with the interests of Greece and Europe. I do not accept a scenario12 that others may already have accepted first. I will do my duty."
