　　The raise you want is a bit iffy.

　　你想要加薪的事儿有点儿玄了。

　　a bit iffy直译过来就是：“有点未确定”，这个短语的正确意思是：“有点玄乎”。因此，当美国人说"The raise you want is a bit iffy."时，他/她要表达的意思就是:"It becomes improbable to give you a raise."、"Whether you will be raised is uncertain."。
