　　steal the show直译过来就是：“偷走炫耀，偷走这个表演”，这个俚语其实是用来形容在表演时配角抢了主角的风头，引申为“出风头，抢镜头”。因此，当美国人说"It's not wise to steal the show from your superior."时，他/她要表达的意思就是:"It is not smart to cut a smart figure in front of the boss."、"It is unwise to push yourself forward in front of your boss."。
