　　Our team managed to get the upper hand in the end.

　　我们组最终占了上风。

　　get the upper hand源自过去人们一项娱乐活动，掰手腕。比赛过程中，双方面对面分别把一只手放在桌子上，彼此紧握，用力把对方的手腕压倒在桌面上，获胜一方的手自然是在对方手腕之上的，所以这个习语的意思就是：“占上风”。因此，当美国人说"Our team managed to get upper hand in the end."时，他/她要表达的意思就是:"Our team managed to predominate."、"Our team managed to gain the advantages."。
