　　hog在很久以前是对钱币的俗称，go whole hog直译为“花上全部的金钱”，其引申意思是：“全力以赴，干脆彻底地做一件事”。因此，当美国人说"She will go whole hog in planning the program."时，他/她要表达的意思就是:"She will try her best to plan the program."、"She will spare no effort to plan the program."。
