多数美国人认为经济在2014年会更好
WASHINGTON, Dec. 31 (Xinhua) -- With the recent better-than- expected economic growth rate and jobs report, a majority of U.S. voters believes that the economy will be better off next year, a Fox News poll1 showed Tuesday.
The poll revealed that 54 percent of Americans believe the U.S. economy will be better off a year from now, while 35 percent think the economy will be worse next year.
Forty percent of Americans believe the economy would get "a little" better in a year, while 14 percent predict it would get "a lot" better, according to the poll.
The poll, conducted between Dec.14-16, surveyed 1,027 registered voters. It was released after the strong November jobs report showing that nation's the unemployment rate edged down to 7 percent, its lowest level in five years.
The U.S. economy expanded at an annual rate of 4.1 percent in the third quarter, the fastest growth since the fourth quarter of 2011, the Commerce Department reported earlier this month.
