　　BEIJING: China’s foreign ministry² has rejected President-elect Donald Trump’s suggestion that he might use support of Taiwan as a bargaining chip in future negotiations⁴ between the two sides.

　　中国外交部拒绝美国当选总统特朗普的建议，特朗普说以后双边谈判中，也许会把台湾当做讨价还价的筹码。

　　Spokesman Lu Kang said Sunday that the “one China” policy is “non-negotiable” and the political foundation of the US-China relationship. Since recognizing Beijing in 1979, Washington has maintained only unofficial ties with Taiwan, the self-governing island that Beijing considers its territory.

　　外交部发言人陆康指出，“一个中国”政策这一中美关系的政治基础是不可谈判的。自从于1979年承认北京以来，华盛顿一直和台湾保持非正式关系。

　　But since winning the November election, Trump has said he would consider that policy in a discussion about trade and other issues.

　　He told The Wall Street Journal in an interview published Friday that “everything is under negotiation³, including ‘one China.”’
