　　Charles Zhang Chaoyang, 52, responded to entirely⁴ unproven social media reports that Swift has struck up a new romance with a Chinese tycoon⁵ in his 50s.

　　Chinese internet sleuths seemingly decided⁶ Zhang was the man in question - due to his matching up with the two descriptions in the online rumor².

　　But the 52-year-old denied the claim last Friday, going as far as to say he does not even know who Swift, 27, is.

　　'It's just a rumour,' the CEO of Sohu - a Chinese internet firm, said, according to the South China Morning Post. 'I have no interest in foreign women... I don't even know who Taylor Swift is.'

　　He distanced himself from the rumor during a live-stream hosted by his company, Sohu.

　　And the internet rumor may not even be talking about Swift, as it simply refers to 'America's number one singer'. The 27-year-old has been slapped with that moniker in China in the past, which seemingly led people to believe she is the star in question.
