Coffee Time

1--Would you like some tea?
2--I'd prefer² some coffee, if you've got³ any.
1--Of course⁴. How do you take it?
2--white with two sugars, please.

1）Would you like...通常是用以询问对方的意见。
2）How do you take it?直译上你怎么喝法？指咖啡中是否
放牛奶或糖块等。
3）white指在咖啡里加入少许牛奶。不加牛奶或糖块
的咖啡称作black coffee.
4）sugar：糖；糖块

1--喝点茶吗？
2--有咖啡的话，我愿喝点咖啡。
1--当然有咖啡。里面放什么吗？
2--请放些牛奶，两块方糖。

1 dialogue   

n.对话；vi.对话；vt.用对话表达

参考例句：

• Practise the dialogue in pairs.两人一组练习对话。
• The dialogue went on until nine o'clock.谈话一直到九点。

2 prefer   

v.宁愿(选择)；更喜欢

参考例句：

• I prefer red to blue.我喜欢红色而不喜欢蓝色。
• I prefer tea rather than coffee.我喜欢茶甚于喜欢咖啡。

3 got   

v.(get的过去式)得到，猜到，明白

参考例句：

• I just got some bad news.我刚得到一些坏消息。
• I have got far too much work to do.我要做的事太多了。

4 course   

n.课程，讲座，过程，路线，一道(菜)

参考例句：

• The college course was then cut to three years.大学学制那时缩短到三年。
• Of course,I don't always sleep in the afternoons.当然，我并不总是在下午睡觉。
