and passed it to Lillie.
Lillie read it
and passed it to me.
I didn’t read it

He threw it
into the wastepaper-basket.
During play time
Liz took the message
out of the basket
and showed it to me.
It said⁷: Pass it along!
“That’s a silly⁸ message!” I said.
