Congressional leaders are not quite celebrating President Donald Trump¹'s historic meeting Tuesday with North Korea's Kim Jong Un. Senate republican leader Mitch Mcconnell and House Speaker Paul Ryan said the meeting was not a decisive one if North Korea doesn't denuclearize. While Senate democratic leader Chuck Schumer said Trump has granted a brutal² and repressive dictatorship the international legitimacy³ it had long craved⁴.

President Trump's trade adviser⁵ Peter Navarro expressed regret Tuesday for having said "there is a special place in hell" for Canadian Prime Minister Justin Tradeau. While appearing at a Wall Street Journal conference, Navarro said the language used was inappropriate.

A police officer has been honored for his quick reaction, rescuing a toddler running alone down a busy road in Illinois. Dashcam video shows Napperville Sergeant⁶ Anthony Mannino scooping⁷ up the boy as cars and trucks whiz by.

And the Washington Capitals celebrated⁸ their Stanley cup win with a parade and rally in the nation's capital. Tens of thousands of fans lined the route along Constitution Avenue, creating a sea of red to cheer their favorite hockey team on.
