President Donald Trump's criticism of NATO allies and his friendly overtures1 to Russian President Vladimir Putin are stirring questions at home and abroad about Trump's commitment to the Atlantic Alliance. The Alliance has been a pillar of US security policy for more than half a century. But Trump's combative2 attitude is fueling speculation3 that a re-ordering of US forces in Europe might be in the cards.
President Trump's Supreme4 Court nominee5, Brett Kavanaugh is mapping out strategy with Republican leaders ahead of what is expected to be a fierce confirmation6 battle that could remake the court for decades. Kavanaugh, a favorite of the GOP establishment, first huddled7 with Senate majority leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky and Vice8 President Pence.
All 12 boys and their soccer coach have been rescued from a flooded cave in northern Thailand, ending an 18-day ordeal9 that riveted10 people around the world. The Thai Navy Seals said the remaining four boys and their 25-year-old coach were all brought out safely and taken to the same hospital where the others are being treated.
Actor George Clooney is recovering after a car hit the motor scooter he was riding on the Italian island of Sardinia. The John Paul II hospital said Clooney didn't suffer any broken bones and was treated there and released.
