President Trump¹ and Russian President Vladimir Putin meet Monday at Finland's Presidential Palace. Members of Congress in both parties condemned² the meeting after 12 Russian military officers were indicted³ in the Russia election hacking⁴ probe.

A top European Union leader is urging Trump, Putin and China to avoid trade wars. In an interview reported Saturday, President Trump called the European Union a "foe⁵" of the United Sates.

A wildfire has burned more than 6 square miles near California's Yosemite National Park. At least one firefighter has died while battling the flames.

And police in Paris used the water cannon⁶ to clear the streets. Violence broke out amid massive celebrations after France's soccer team won the World Cup.
