At least 11 people are known dead in Branson, Missouri, where a tourist boat capsized on a lake Thursday night. A local sheriff says stormy weather may have caused the boat to flip³ over and sink.

Multiple tornadoes⁵ swept through Iowa, flattening⁶ buildings in 3 cities and injuring at least 17 people. 7 people were treated for minor⁷ injuries after a tornado⁴ hit a factory southeast of Des Moines.

Authorities east of Portland, Oregon are investigating what started the huge wildfire. The governor says it may have been arson⁸. The fire is blamed for one death.
