A national security official testified that the US envoy¹ to Ukraine Gordon Sondland told the Ukrainians they would need to investigate the Bidens if they hoped to get a coveted² meeting with President Donald Trump³. In transcripts⁴ just released, Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman says there was "no ambiguity⁵."

President Trump says he's weighing an invitation from Russian President Vladimir Putin to attend the May 9 Victory day parade in Moscow. Trump tells reporters he appreciates the invitation from Putin, but the parade falls "right in the middle of political season."

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is reporting a breakthrough in their investigation⁶ into the outbreak of vaping illnesses. A government lab found the same chemical compound in fluid taken from the lungs of 29 patients across the country.
