The search is on for more dead and injured after a powerful tornado¹ struck Lee County in eastern Alabama. The tornado killed at least 23 people and cut a track of destruction a half a mile wide.

South Korea's President says he wants to restart the US-North Korean nuclear talks. President Moon Jae-in said there were important achievements during last week's summit, despite its abrupt² ending.

The US closed its consulate³ in Jerusalem, folding it into the US Embassy there. The consulate had served as the main US diplomatic mission to the Palestinians for decades.

And a winter storm is bringing heavy snow to the northeastern US. A state of emergency was declared in New Jersey⁴. While New York City could get up to 8 inches of snow.
