More than half a million people have been ordered to evacuate¹ the Texas and Louisiana coasts ahead of Hurricane Laura. Forecasters expect the storm to grow into a Category 3 hurricane before it slams the U.S. coastline late Wednesday or early Thursday.

On Monday, Lukashenko called on teachers protesting his re-election to resign. He said teachers working at State schools and universities must follow State ideology⁴.
