 “Come here, Lucy, and listen! What is in this flower?” “露西，过来，听，花里面是什么？”

“Oh mother! it is a bee. I wonder¹ how it came² to be shut³ up in the flower!” “噢，妈妈！是蜜蜂。我不知道它是怎么被花关在里面的。”

“It went into the flower for some honey⁴, and it may be it went to sleep.  “它进到花里面采些花蜜，后来可能睡着了。

Then the flower shut it in. 然后花就把它关在里面了。”

“The bee likes honey as⁵ well as we do, but it does not like to be shut up in the flower. “蜜蜂和我们一样喜欢花蜜，但它肯定不喜欢被关在花里。”

“Shall we let it out, Lucy?” “露西，我们能把它弄出来吗？”

“Yes, then it can go to other flowers, and get honey.” “好啊，这样的话它就可以继续飞到其他花那儿去采蜜了。”
