"My friends have started bullying¹ me. What do I do?"

If they say something mean to you, say, "I know you are, but what am I?"

Either stand up for yourself or get new friends.

Stop hanging out with them at school. Don't let them come to your house.

You say they're your friends? Uh-uh. Friends don't hurt friends.

Find new friends. Get away from those bullying ones, because they're really not friends.

If they're bullying you, just drop them, go find some new friends, because you don't need that in your life.

If you are hurt or offended, then just don't be friends with them. Don't have that kinda negativity in your life.

Find new friends that accept you for who you are and like to be around you.

Say, "You know what? I can find other people that aren't gonna do this to me, 'cause you guys aren't my friends." It's not what friends do.

Say, "Hey, look, you guys are doing this to me. I feel like I'm being bullied² here. I don't think it's funny what you're doing." If they're like, "Okay, hey, we're sorry," then good. If they're not, move on. Find another group of friends.

You need to bail³ quit. And if it's really serious stuff, you need to talk to an adult.

I use the method STOP. The S stands for step away. The T, tell a trusted adult. O, only okay friends first. And then P, pause and think about it.
