 April.13th, 1970. Apollo XIII is crippled on its way to the moon when a tank containing liquid oxygen bursts in its command module¹. The 3 astronauts on board are forced to return to Earth relying on their lunar module as a lifeboat in space.

1743. Thomas Jefferson, author of the Declaration of Independence and America’s 3rd president, is born in the Virginia colony.
