Migrants’ stars still here in numbers this morning, and of course, the lorries stuck up in their hundreds waiting to get to the port. The authorities here are preparing for another day of confrontation1. And already, some of the migrants have been trying to get into the lorries overnight. This is Pete Alexander from Rotherham. He shows us the padlock her that they just broke off for an hour or so ago.
“It's the padlock here. They broke it off in two seconds. They climbed in the back and looked, knowing the car ideally. If it’s nowhere to hide, so they shot back and moved on."
“I mean, just paint the picture for people around here how chaotic2 is it with the immigration crisis at the moment.”
“It's just crazy, everybody's frustrated3, companies are frustrated, we are frustrated. We’re just stood here. It’s a nightmare."

“Yeah, I mean I was gonna ask you just how vulnerable do you feel at this, someone who hurts to come through here for your business facing with increasing desperate migrants.”
“We are all in the zone of this. He is in the zone, he is in the zone. We are all in the zone. We are not a group. What do you see we are doing? We are drivers and we can’t…If he were to tell me what I need, X. They don’t want to be seen on tele.”
“Well, Pete, hopefully, your journey, I know you were in the confrontation with them already this morning. Hopefully it will be a little less problematic when you get onto that tunnel and cross the other side?”
“Yes. ”
“Ok, well, thank you, Pete.”
Pete Alexander, they are from Rotherham and just typical of the kind of the experience that the lorry drivers from all around the world to use this stretch of the road and this route into the UK are being faced with on a…
