　　Here is a list of the ways professors here at the American University grade their final exams.

　　下面是美国大学的教授们给期末考试打分的方式。

　　Dept of Statistics

　　All grades are plotted along the normal bell curve.

　　Students are asked to blot² ink in their exam books, close them and turn them in. The professor opens the books and assigns the first grade that comes to mind.

　　C (Coulomb) if they get high all the time.

　　F (Fraud) if they eat too much and have too much energy.

　　F（法拉）吃得太多，能量过剩的“不及格”。

　　W (Watt) if they have power to work.

　　W（瓦特）有电力带动工作的。

　　上交；提交；交付；

　　eg. Turn in your homework, please.

　　请把作业交上来。

　　eg. I want everybody to turn a report in.

　　我希望每个人都上交一份报告。

　　2. come to mind

　　突然想起；（想法）一下子冒出来；

　　eg. I just picked up whatever goods come to mind.

　　我只是想到什么就拿什么罢了。

　　eg. A number of possibilities come to mind.

　　我脑里出现了好几种可能性。

　　3. all the time

　　一直；始终；

　　eg. We can't be together all the time.

　　我们不能始终在一起。

　　eg. I get the two of them mixed up all the time, they're so similar.

　　我一直把他们俩弄混，他俩太像了。

1 psychology   

n.心理，心理学，心理状态

2 blot   

vt.弄脏（用吸墨纸）吸干；n.污点，污渍

参考例句：

• That new factory is a blot on the landscape.那新建的工厂破坏了此地的景色。
• The crime he committed is a blot on his record.他犯的罪是他的履历中的一个污点。

3 determined   

adj.坚定的；有决心的

参考例句：

• I have determined on going to Tibet after graduation.我已决定毕业后去西藏。
• He determined to view the rooms behind the office.他决定查看一下办公室后面的房间。

4 logic   

n.逻辑(学)；逻辑性

参考例句：

• What sort of logic is that?这是什么逻辑？
• I don't follow the logic of your argument.我不明白你的论点逻辑性何在。

5 random   

adj.随机的；任意的；n.偶然的(或随便的)行动

参考例句：

• The list is arranged in a random order.名单排列不分先后。
• On random inspection the meat was found to be bad.经抽查，发现肉变质了。

6 generator   

n.发电机，发生器

参考例句：

• All the while the giant generator poured out its power.巨大的发电机一刻不停地发出电力。
• This is an alternating current generator.这是一台交流发电机。
