Allure¹.com has reported that Nike will add hijabs to its offering of activewear next year. The product is called the Nike Pro² Hijab, and it takes into account the particular challenges of wearing the traditional headscarf during athletic³ competition.

Nike announced plans to release the product in spring 2018. According to Nike, the hijab comes after several high-profile instances of Muslim athletes competing in hijabs in recent years. In a statement, Nike said, "...Nike aims to serve today's pioneers as well as inspire even more women and girls in the region who still face barriers and limited access to sport."
