Business Insider reports President Donald Trump¹ announced that he will not give his State of the Union address during the government shutdown.

This concession² ends a long fight between Trump and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi who earlier on Wednesday denied Trump's use of the House of Representatives chamber³ to deliver his speech.

Trump tweeted, as the shutdown was going on, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi asked me to give the State of the Union address. I agreed.

She then changed her mind because of the shutdown, suggesting a later date.
