 这首歌的原作是Jacques Brel（原籍比利时），于1961年创作，原曲名叫 Le Moribond (垂死者)。因为他发现自己患了癌症，有感而发，写下这首歌，献给他的父亲、挚友和妻子。在与病症搏斗了十几年之后，他终在1978年病逝，死时四十九岁。
