China and the US, the world's two biggest economies, are closely interwined, both economically and politically. Premier Li Keqiang also spoke about managing their differences. 

 

"For some time, many people have been talking about differences between the two countries, yet at the same time have overlooked one very important thing that happened last year," 

 

"That is, China became the United States' top trading partner, with two-way trade between the two countries reaching US$560 billion. This in itself shows the common interests of the two countries far outweigh their differences,"

 

"As for how to ensure the healthy development of China-US ties, I believe both countries need to act in line with the principles of equality and mutual benefit," said Premier Li.
