While some Cubans are excited about Obama's visit and the positive changes it could bring, others are more reserved in their expectations.
"It was very emotional. But today, I am unhappy with him because he brought the cold weather with him but, still very emotional, everything turned out very well. We love him here. He is a very smart man. It is all very nice, very nice," said Miriam Castro, a Cuban citizen.
"For us, it is an honour that a US president has shown us, the Cuban people, so much regard. We are very happy for the things that appear to be coming our way and we will have a good relationship with the US," said Gustavo Sanchez, a Cuban citizen.
"I was born with the revolution in 1960. I have lived through all the stages of the Revolution, including this most recent one. I want understanding, as long as we are respected," said Vivian Morales, a Cuban citizen.
"I don´t disagree with his coming to the island, but what I want is that changes be for the benefit of the Cuban people, because we are going through a difficult economic time here," said Clarisa Perez, a Cuban citizen.
