China's Foreign Ministry has announced that Japan's Foreign Minister Fumio Kishida will pay an official visit to China from Friday to Sunday, at the invitation of his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi.

 

"Relations between China and Japan are seeing an improvement, but they also faces challenges. We call on Japan to meet China halfway, and abide by the four political documents signed by both sides, as well as the four-point principled agreement reached in November 2014. We hope Japan can handle the relevant issues in an appropriate manner, and make concrete efforts for the sustainable, healthy and stable development of bilateral relations," said Hua Chunying, spokesperson of Chinese foreign ministry.

 

Hua said Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and Kishida will hold talks and exchange views on China-Japan relations, as well as international and regional issues of common concern.
