Labor¹ has claimed a landslide² state election victory in Western Australia and is expected to win as many as forty-one seats in the 57 seat lower house. Mark Mcgowan will be sworn in as the state's 30th premier³ within days ending Colin Barnett's eight and a half year reign⁴ as WA premier.
