UK prime minister Theresa May says the man at the centre of the London terror attacks was British born and was once investigated by the country's intelligence agencies. The attacker ploughed a car into pedestrians¹ on Westminister Bridge before fatally stabbing a police officer inside the gates of Parliament. He was shot dead by police.
