Two seniors suspended for ten days, accused of displaying a Confederate Flag during a European handball event last week:

(Cregan)"The gym teacher on duty, they took about eight feet into the gym, saw it, confiscated¹ the flag and then immediately kicked them out of the gym."

Brother Gary Cregan is Principal at Saint Anthony's High School in Huntington on New York’s Long Island and says using symbols designed to inflame² discrimination is unacceptable:

(Cregan) "The African American students that night showed heroic restraint. They allowed the adults in the room to regulate matters."
