听歌学英语:像鸟一样自由飞翔 Freebird

Lynyrd Skynyrd，1970年代风靡一时的美国南方摇滚乐队，风格和Eagles比较接近，1963年成立于佛罗里达州，1973年走红。最出名的特点是他们的吉他合奏。可惜乐队的灵魂人物Ronnie Van Zant在1977年因空难去世，1984年重组其弟John成为乐队新主唱。2006年3月23日Lynyrd Skynyrd乐队进入摇滚名人堂。Lynyrd Skynyrd乐队于1977年10月20日在飞往Louisiana演唱会途中，因为飞机机件故障导致坠机事件。使乐队损失了三名成员，就在坠机前三天，Lynyrd Skynyrd才刚刚发行新专辑「街头生还者（Street Survivors）」，封面是团员一字排开站在街头，被熊熊烈火吞噬。坠机事件之后，唱片公司紧急把封面照片换成团员站在全黑背景前的版本，直到2001年重新发行CD版，才把最早那帧不祥的照片摆回去。

On有“继续从事某事”的意思。但是词组travel on还有“骑马（或徒步）旅行”的意思。

明喻是英语中运用最为广泛的一种修辞手段,尤其适用于描写和说明。明喻格在长期的使用中许多已成了习语,汉语如此,英语亦然。此类习语犹以“as+形容词+as+名词”的结构最为典型,而“as+形容词+as+动物词”又成了这典型结构中的一朵绚丽灿烂的花。许多英语动物名词常常有引申意义,词义引申通常是建立在相似联想的思维基础之上,又比如1.as bald² as a coot（像白骨顶一样秃头）

在这里stay和with是分开的，但是stay with其实可以单独作为一个短语。意思为在…家里作客，继续为…工作。
