Rob² is telling a story about his cousin's pet turtle.

One time she couldn't find the turtle!

有一次她找不到她的乌龟，

She looked everywhere for it.

她到处找牠。

She looked in its cage³, her room and her yard⁴.

她查看了乌龟的笼子、她的房间和庭院。

Maybe some animal ate⁵ it!

可能另外一个动物把牠给吃了！

Rob's cousin was⁶ sad.

罗柏的表姊很难过，

But then she looked in her shower. And there it was!

然后她去淋浴间找， 乌龟就在那里！

A pet turtle! What is its name?

宠物龟！ 牠叫什么名字？

Her name is Myrtle.

她的名字是莫躲。

Myrtle the Turtle.

乌龟莫躲。

That's a great name.

好名字。

She's just a baby. She's really small!

她只是个婴孩， 还非常小！

What does Myrtle eat?

莫躲吃什么？

She eats fruit. Sometimes she eats bugs⁸!

她吃水果， 有时也吃虫！

One time it got⁹ out of its cage!

有一次牠爬出笼子！

Oh, no! What happened?

哦，糟了！发生了什么事？

My cousin looked everywhere for it.

我表姊到处找牠。

It wasn't in her room. It wasn't in her yard.

牠没有在她房间， 也不在院子里。

Did¹⁰ a car hit it?

牠被车撞了吗？

No. It didn't go in the street.

没有，牠没有走到街上。

She looked everywhere for it.

Does she have a dog?

她有只狗吗？

Yes. But the dog didn't eat the turtle!

有，可是那只狗并没有吃掉乌龟！

Then what happened?

后来怎么了？

The turtle was in her shower!

乌龟在她的淋浴间！

It was playing in some water!

牠在水里面玩！

7 conversation

8 bugs   

adj.疯狂的，发疯的n.窃听器( bug的名词复数 )；病菌；虫子；[计算机]（制作软件程序所产生的意料不到的）错误

v.动词do的过去式

参考例句：

• How many goals did you score in the last game?上一场比赛你们进了几个球？
• Why did you choose basketball in the first place?你为何首先选择篮球呢？

11 thought   

n.想法，思想，思维，思潮，关心，挂念；v.vbl.think的过去式和过去分词

参考例句：

• It was just a thought.这仅仅是一个想法。
• She thought he had a cold.她认为他感冒了。
